Grande Mosquée de Paris, Masjid Raya-nya Kota Paris

    

    Grande Mosquée de Paris ("Masjid Raya Paris") adalah sebuah masjid yang terletak di arondisemen Ve. Masjid ini didirikan setelah Perang Dunia Isebagai tanda terima kasih Perancis kepada tirailleurs Muslim dari koloni yang turut berperang melawan pasukan Jerman. 

     Masjid ini dibangun mengikuti gaya mudéjar. Menaranya memiliki tinggi 33 meter. Masjid ini diresmikan oleh Presiden Gaston Doumergue pada tanggal 15 Juli 1926. 

     Ahmad al-Alawi(1869-1934), seorang Sufi Aljazair, pendiri salah satu ajaran Sufi modern Darqawiyya Alawiyya, cabang dari Shadhiliyya, menjadi imam salat pertama dalam peresmian masjid di hadapan presiden Perancis pada masa itu.

 

     Masjid Raya Paris saat ini dipimpin oleh mufti Dalil Boubakeur, yang juga menjabat sebagai presiden Dewan Muslim Perancis yang dibentuk tahun 2002.

The Problem with Science in the Incestral Health Community

I've been discussing lately the entangled web of relationships and referencing in this community, and I have decided that henceforth I'm going to call it on this blog what I've called it in my head for a very long time:  The Incestral Health Community.   This is because everyone has ties to everyone else (or enough) and apparently nobody feels even the slightest bit interested in vetting one another, let alone any professional obligation to do so before slapping the affiliate logo on their website or inviting fellow IHC members to speak at their events.  

I've also been highlighting credentials of late, and will continue to do so when I feel that it is pertinent.  I want to make sure that everyone reading here understands that I am not passing judgment on anyone's academic record, highest degree held, etc.  Fer crying out loud, two of the smartest women I've had the privilege of knowing both dropped out of high school in the 9th grade.  And sadly, the number of functional illiterates matriculating at prestigious institutions these days is mind-blowingly astounding. This is not about academic elitism or snobbery.  It IS about discussing just what makes for an authority, an expert, etc.

 i'm so sorry i have been absent lately.  it seems life has been going a mile a minute and leaving little time for me in between!!  i hope y'all are having a fabulous start to 2013!  here's some things that are going on current in my neck of the woods.....
my house on Sullivan's Island is almost complete and the clients moved in over Christmas break....

 how cute is this doggie??!!

 btw, i am obsessed w/ the lews hardware that we used in jack and jill bathroom....she didn't disappoint!!  so go buy some!!

i got a new worm pillow made for my bedroom...my husband says i have a pillow problem....he might be right.

for christmas warren surprised me w/ a coffee table that i have been coveting forever...the problem was it belonged to one of my friends and she had it custom made...luckily she was ready to get rid of her :)

this weather has been amazing so the kids and i have been spending lots of time outside....Sat we headed to the zoo.  the flamingos are always a favorite of mine...their color is just amazing.
